    Essence Festival 

Known as "the party with a purpose", is an annual music festival which started in 1995 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence magazine and culture. Now as of 2014  still going strong as one of the biggest parties and celebrations for African American culture.
The 2014 ESSENCE Festival started on Thursday, July 3 and officially ended the late evening of Sunday, July 6. If you traveled into New Orleans, as recommended because of the Huge Star event being in the city on Wednesday and leave on Monday, July 7. due to heavy traffic.The Festival was located in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the Louisiana Superdome. 

Sponsored by many aside Coca Cola  this Essence Fest was  yet another huge success as many known artist blessed the staged- Key Artist line-up:
