THINK BEFORE YOU POST!!!

As  social media has gotten more popular users have become more and more comfortable expressing themselves online. From posting how nice the weather is on any given day or something more personal like childhood memories. The latest posting wave is the "I'm SO"... Which is broad and open for users to fill in the blank about where they are from or what they are doing. Example: #CampaignGang is so relevant you are reading this right now. :-)
The problem is every thought or image that any given user wishes to share is not always appropriate for everyone else to be viewing and/or reading. Some would say that "It's my account I can do what I want on my page" which is true however at some point us users of social media have to be conscious of potentially offensive content. Even though you as a user may feel like your post is of comedic relief  or you may want to show off that you can be "sexy". However, it make be viewed as harsh or inconsiderate of others.
Saying mean things, degrading each other from the comfort of your mobile device or computer is not something we should be proud of. Realizing that words have power and what you post is up for its own interpretation once released into the cyber world. Not to mention if you are participating in criminal acts and are brave enough to post things that could be associated to a crime that you were involved is just down right irresponsible. As much as the "Selfie" has become popular you must realize that the technology use to produce these high tech devices can and will be used against you to prosecute according to the laws of the land. Which basically means that law enforcement job is a lot easier if you are willing to post evidence online. #CampaignGang does not condone criminal acts against anyone however this was needed to be written about.

In a world where some people feel caged and wish to express themselves daily we have to be more responsible for what we do on and offline. Did you know of the face matching technology data base that the government uses to find people associated to their investigations? Yes, It does exist!!
We are all human and are full of emotions. Let them out responsibly. Let's continue to create a positive supportive online environment.
Think about it!! Are you posting just to get reactions or are you really that mean of a person? If you are not that mean of a person you can either find something better to say that is ultimately a representation of you and who you are as a person.
Understanding that its not always what you say but how you say it.  So before you post ask yourself is what I'm posting potentially offensive to others and do I want to be viewed as an online bully or nah?
